Description

The Sun (20240215) - rays of hope in the visual spectrum

Finally there are rays of hope in the sky again: On the one hand, because patches of blue sky with a clear view of the Sun are visible between high thin cirrus clouds, contrails and individual cluster clouds. On the other hand, because the Sun's activities visible in the visual spectrum have increased significantly over the last few days: There are large, small and tiny Sunspots, mostly with pronounced penumbra and deep black umbra. There are also extensive flare areas that can naturally be observed towards the edges of the Sun's disk in the light visible to our eyes.

Tip:  Compare with the Sun's next day's appearance!

Once again, these phenomena can be seen in two roughly parallel zones north and south of the solar equator. The irregularly shaped larger spots in the top center and right near the edge of the Sun's disk show beautiful light bridges that are worth observing at high magnification.

I love the heaven -
and heaven loves me.
